Installation and Surface Notes
Think Board installs in about 30 minutes for first-timers. A few quick notes to make it look pro:
- Smooth walls work best. The smoother and flatter the surface, the cleaner the result.
- Wait 30 days after fresh paint. New paint offgasses for weeks. Install too soon and the gas can bubble under the board or push it off the wall, so give it at least 30 days.
- Wet install for tricky surfaces. For glass, old whiteboards or chalkboards, refrigerators, and very smooth desks or tables, mist the surface with water first. It smooths out bubbles and dries in a few hours.
- Clean more than you think. The real secret to a flawless install is cleaning. Wipe the wall, remove any bumps or paint drips, and use a wet cloth with your fingernail to scratch off imperfections, no sanding needed. We have installed 1,000+ boards, and this is what makes the difference.
